Home. What better place to get help with breastfeeding? Feel free to stay in your PJs because I’m coming to you!
All visits include:
- A conversation about long- and short-term feeding goals for your baby
- Help with feeding and/or milk expression
- An email summary of our visit
- A report sent to your health care providers (pediatrician, OB, midwife, etc.)
- Two weeks of unlimited follow-up support by phone call and email.
Think of this as a private breastfeeding class! We'll discuss your feeding goals, your concerns, and your questions. You'll also get information on building a strong milk supply, signs that feeding is going well, and solutions to common issues in the early days.
Initial Postpartum Lactation Consult, 1.5-2 hours
We’ll talk about your history, your baby’s history, and current concerns. After observing a feeding, I’ll weigh your baby on a sensitive pediatric scale to measure milk transfer. The visit may also include assistance with pumping, hand expression, and positioning. We’ll create a care plan to fit your family’s needs and stay in touch by phone and email after the consult.
Follow-Up Postpartum Visit, 1-1.5 hours
After an initial consult, many families benefit from a follow-up visit to discuss the care plan and any changes that are needed.
Back to Work Consult, 1-1.5 hours
Returning to work is a big transition for the whole family! We’ll go over effective pumping techniques, milk storage, and how to create a freezer stash. Baby not taking a bottle? We can address that, too!
